GREAT SHANGHAI FIRE
SILKS. RICE AND OIL DESTROYED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 13, 11.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 12. The “Chicago Tribune’s” _ Shanghai correspondent states that silks, rice, and oil valued at 6,000,000 dollars were destroyed in a disastrous warehouse fire, which is still raging, and will probably take days tj> extinguish. An immense amount of s!>k was lost, which is expected to seriously affect; the market.
