POLO
THE NEW ZEALAND TOURNEY. P*H PBWS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, March 11. The New Zealand Polo Association’s annual tournament opened to-day. In matches for the Saville Cup Pareora beat Christchurch by twelve goals to one and Rangitikei beat Amuri by fifteen goals to two. Both games were rather one-sided. In the early stages of the PareoraChristchurch match Mr A. Elwortby, captain of the Pareora team, suffered an accident to his riding-hand which, it is feared, will prevent him taking any further active part in the tournament.
