EXPEDITIOUS WORK
THE WALROA-WAIKOKOPU RAILWAY. FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. WAIROA, March 10. At 10 o’clock to-day the Maori construction gangs linked up-all the sections on the Wairoa-Waikokopu line between Tuhara and Nuhaka, a distance of twelve miles. With the exception of two bridges and some culvert*, it is now ready for platelaying. Probably the gangs will now go on to other sections. Mr Armstrong, C.E., and the Public Works staff deserve every credit for the expedition shown, and also the Maori gangs on the line and construction work.
