RUGBY FOOTBALL
OLD BOYS’ FOOTBALL CLUB. At the meeting of the Wellington College Old Boys’ Football Club, Mr 11. I-hsb-orough presided. The annual report stated that the club now had no liabilities. During the past season the junior team harfea very successful record, winning most of their matches. As usual the third-grade fifteen were not vdrv successful op the field* but again showed good sportsmanship by turning out in full strength every Saturday. The need of a coach was again demonstrated, and it was hoped that those of the older members capable of assisting would offer their services for the coming season.' While the prospects for the ensuing season "were bright, increased enthusiasm and effort were needed. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow President, Mr J. P Firth: vice-president-', Messrs W. E. Bethune, M. C. Barnett, T. R. Creswell, A.. E. Wilson, K. Duncan, and Dr AY. Young; -ojub captain, Mr E. S. BrierLey; auditor, Mr H. Desborough, jnn.; secretary, Mr G. H. Menzies; treasurer, Mr W. S- Keegan; committee. Messrs W. T. Benai, S. Bedell. G. H. Gray, J. R. Mansfield, and M. McColl; delegates to the union, Meskrs W. W. Cook and J. Prendeville.
Some discussion took place regarding the advisability of entering a senior team this vear, Dut it was eventually decided to enter junior and third grade teams only.
