MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS.
The management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening, when, there were pTe.sent: Mr C G. Wilson (in the chain, and Messrs C- R. Edmond. Roy Johnston (secre-
tary). M. Crombie, W. Hushes. R. J. Murphy. B. L. Salmon. H. Buck. The VVairarapa Junior Cricketers wrote with a view to arranging a junior representative match jivii h tile ’Wellington Centre. —This was referred to the llutt Cricket ClubA request from the East Club for a wicket on the Basin Reserve on March 23rd was refused, on the ground that it was too near the test match, Australia, v. New Zealand. It was suggested that The East Club apply to tile Town Clerk for a wicket ou Kelburn Park. The chairman and Messr s Crombie and Salmon were appointed a sub-committee to wait on the reserves committee of the City Council with a view to obtaining their co-operation in the matter of securing suitable soil from Napier to improve the wickets on the Basm Reserve. The secretary was instructed to write to the City Council to get them to place wire netting on the eastern side of Kelburn Park to prevent cricket balls being lost over the bank.
