SOME STARTLING FIGURES.: RETURNS FOR 1&20 DOUBLE THOSE OF PREVIOUS YEAR. The imports from the United: Kingdom during the quarter ended December 31st, 1920, totalled £9,674,219, as compared with £2,74,1,338 for the corresponding quarter of 1919. The total imports from the United Kingdom received at the four chief ports during the past quarter were as under: —Auckland, £2,611,329; Wellington, £3,083,668; Lyttelton, £1,677,367; Dunedin. £1,328,664. A comparative return of the Value of the imports from the United* Kingdom and foreign countries at the chief ports of the Dominion during the years 1919 and 1920 is as follows, the figures for 1919 being given in parentheses: Wellington, £21,037,639 (£10,626,873): Auckland, £18,732,082 (£9,567,409); Lyttelton, £9,774,261 (£4,584,822); . Dunedin, £7,057,823 (£3,331,655).
