STEVEDORING SCHEME
PROPOSALS' FURTHER DISCUSSED ADJOURNMENT SINE DIE. The proposed co-operative stevedoring scheme, drawn up some weeks ago at a conference between the employers of waterside labour and the Waterside Workers’ Federation, with the object of increasing efficiency on the wharves, at the different . ports, waa discussed yesterday at a meeting of a committee representing both sides. No details of the day’s business were disclosed, and it was announced that the meeting had been adjourned sine die while further information is secured.
