U.S. BUYING COLD
SHIPMENTS FROM NEW ZEALAND The United States, in spite of the rt that she acquired great quantities gold during tho war in payment for her supplies sold to European Powers, is buying gold at present, but largely for art and industrial purposes. Shipments of gold from New Zealand mines have been made, and others are pending. Gold values in London have declined of late, largely because of the rise in the dollar exchange, which is now about 3-66 compared with 3.45 a month ago.
