MADRAS MAIL DISASTER

WRECKED BY COOLIES. THIRTEEN INDIANS KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright (Received October 11, 1.46 a.m.) DELHI, October 9. It is suspected that tho Madras mail was wrecked by discontented coolies, who had previously been dismissed. Five carriages were telescoped. No Europeans were killed, but over thirteen Indians were killed and many wounded. European passengers rendered first aid with scarves and handkerchiefs. The dsiaster occurred at eleven at night. Fires were lit alongside tho wreckage to help the rescuers.
