STRONGLY CONDEMNED
UNION SECRETARY'S ACTION. -The following resolution was passed at a meeting of representatives of various Wellington unions hold in, the office of the Miners' Federation:— ''That having heard the statements of the representatives of the King Country Timber Workers' Union and tho facts in connection with Mr J.-Read's action in the Arbitration Court this week, this meeting of WeUingon unionists expresses its strong disapproval of big action as contrary to the spirit of true unionism, opposed.to the beet interests of the working class, and eontrnrv to the resolution of the Timber Workers' Federation, \and calls upon that body to his action; also that a sub-committee be appointed to draft a circular setting forth tho facts of the case," the samo Ik> bo forwarded to all tho unions of Now Zealand."
