AMERICA THREATENS PROSECUTIONS.

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received August 3, 8.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 3. The Department of Justice is to start a new war on profiteers following the announcement of the higher price of clothing. The officials have issued a statement to tho effect that law-breakers who attempt to fleece the public will bo prosecuted. The recent closing of tho woollen mills is declared to be part of the price propaganda.
