APPLICATIONS FOB MEMBERSHIP. A meeting of the council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce was hold yesterday, 'ALr A. F. Boborts presiding. Applications for membership wore approved as follow : —Wilfred Sandlant, Cramp and Co., Ltd.; Andrew Fletcher, Fletcher Construction Co., Ltd.; B. Reynolds, lb Reynolds and 00., Ltd.; F. S. Goldingham, Goldingham and Beckett. Ltd.; John Beveridge Lacry, Bev'eridge and Co., Ltd.; C- B. Norwood, The Dominion Motors, Ltd.; Dr C. I • Knight, Wellington Gaa Co., Ltd. MEETINGS OF COUNCIL AND CHAMBER. On the motion of Mr C. M. Banks, it was decided that the council meet every second Tuesday, at 3 p.m. instead of every month, as at present; that a general meeting of members of tho chamber bo held every three months, and that when a member brings any matter under tire notice of tho chamber, such member bo invited to attend tho next council mcetiog to expound his views on the subject raised. WEEKLY RETURN OF EXPORTS. Tho Comptroller of Custorura wrote that, on account of tho work involved in the preparation and publishing of tho weekly “Return of Principal Exports of Now- Zealand Produce," it was proposed to discontinue tho return. Be asked if tho council saw any objection to suoh a course. Tho secretary responded that ho had replied to tho effect that ho thought no objection could ho raised to Iho pj-o-posed course.. Ho had also pointed out that tho principal firms interested in tho export trade make arrangements to have tho particulars of cargoes of New
