INDIANS AND THE PRINCE’S VISIT. ENMITY DEPRECATED BY EXTREMIST. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. SIMLA, July 8. A leading Indian extremist, Joseph Baptista, lias attacked the growing campaign, against the visit of the Prince of Wales to India. He says Indians should bear in mind that the King is above all party politics. He characterises as suicidal any in extending' a welcome to the Prince, and especially any attempt at a boycott. It is expected that this attitude in a leading Indian politician will influence many extremists to abandon tho campaign. PRINCE IN WEST AUSTRALIA. PERTH, July 5. The Prince of Wales on Saturday held a review of troops and attended the races. The city is gaily decorated, and tho crowds are demonstratively loyal. Resenting being placed amongst the o rchestra at tho luncheon given by tho Mayor of Fremantle to the Prince on Friday, the English and inter-Stato pressmen declined to remain or to take part in the remaining functions of the day.
