Hughes stated that he had been authorised to inform the British Government, tho woolgrowcrs, and tho public that the auction sales of tho 1930-21 clip would be opened in Australia about October Ist next. Ho subsequently stated, that this did not imply that growers would be compelled to submit all their wool for sale in Australia, but were left free to export or sell in Australia. Mr • Hughes is continuing his representations to the Imperial authorities with the object of preventing; a glut of Australian wool such as would occur if tho now season’s clip and tho carryover from past clips wore placed on the market together.
