AGITATION IN CALIFORNIA ALARMS JAPAN.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received July 2, 8.40 p.m.) TOKIO, Juno 30. The recrudescence of anti-Japanese agitation in California is attracting widespread attention in Japan. Hie National Convention of .Chambers of Commerce adox>ted a resol uton declaring that the agitation was assuming grave proportions and expressing the fear that if it was not checked the interests of Japanese in California, which are the result of years of toil, will bo doomed, and requesting the appointment of a committee to discuss defensive ways and means. .
