AloLean, of the New Zealand Army Aledical Corps, has been demobilised and has resumed the practice of his profession in Wellington. Colonel G. T. Hall has been appointed Officer-in-Charge of Administration, New Zealand Alilitary Forces, in tha United Kingdom.

Mr J. H. Coleman has promised a donation of £SOO to the Hawke’a Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society —and more if necessary.

Midshipman R. O. Pock ley, R.A.N.j who has been on a farewell visit to his parents in Wellington, has left for Sydney to join H.M.S. Renown.

Brigadier-General G. N. who commanded the New Zealand Artillery on Gallipoli and in Prance, hn* relinquished his appointment of New Zealand military representative in the United Kingdom, and been struck off the strength, of the N.Z.E.F.

]Mr J. H. Finney, who succeeds M* John Glen as secretary of the Nelson Jockey Club, has been a prominent member and official of the olub for r number of years. (Mr Finney was pari proprietor (with Mr, XNjrcy Bond) of the Nelson “Colonist,” which ceased publication recently.

Major H. J. Daltry, who left Not# Zealand as lieutenant with the Howitzer Battery, N.Z.E.F., in 15)14, and who received his majority and the H.S.O. in Franco in 1916, has joined the Australasian department ol Messrs Gordon Woodroffe and Company, in London.

Welling, toil, has been appointed chief clerk, Wellington, whila Air G. C. Rodda, divisional clerk, Wellington, has bcccnu clerk in charge leans and ledgers, 'Wellington.

The late Arthur Edward Moore, rhs was a victim of the recent express accidcnc on ./uno 2*3ih, was a native o? Cly do quay, Wellington. The late Mi .Moore was a bachelor, and receded it. Newtown with his sitter, Miss Moore. Ho has another Ulster, Mrs Uorg? (wife of Lieutenant. W. R. Burge. M.C.). ITo was better -known ,to a large circle of friends as “Pony” Mooro A true comrade and an enthusiastic sportsman, the late Mr Moore, who was a prominent Oddfellow, being a Past Grand Master and Secretary ol the Zoalandia Lodge, will be sorely missed by hie friends and associates.
