“BETTER THAN AVELLINGTON.” \ complaint about Die lack of comfort in 'tho Auckl and Supremo Court buildings was made to Air Justice Chapman by tho foreman of a jury which was on gaged 1 1 upon a rather protracted criminal .case. Members or tho-jury wished him to draw His Honour’s attention tc tho irtltor absence of comfort in the room provided for the jury’s delibcraLions, and in the building generally, in so far as jurymen were concerned. “Iho bareness of the juryroom," iho said, ‘‘ Is not conducive to comfort and quick deliberation. The surroundings should not make for physical discomfort. Iho whole, surroundings ol tho court _ are uncomfortable. (Laughter.)
