TRUNK CALLS
DUPLICATION OF WIRES URGED.
The Dauuevirkc Chamber of Commerce (says a Press Association message) has decided to urge the Government to duplicate the trunk telephone linos in order to facilitate telephonic communication. Owing to the present congestion, delays wore frequent and lengthy, and one member said it was quicker to motor th*au toi wait ii couple of hours for tho privilege of using the wire.
