INFLUENZA

135 CASES IN WELLINGTON DISTRICT. -•:-. ONE PNEUMONIC; ONE SEVERE. In all, '135 cases of influenza —133 mild, 1 pneumonic, and 1 severe—were notified in the Wellington Health District during the week ending noon on Monday, April 12th. These were dietributed amongst various hospital' districts as follow: —Waipawa, 1; Tarahaki, 15 (1. pneumonic at New Plymouth and 1 sever* at Waitara); Stratford, 8; Hawera, 2; Pa tea, 4; Wanganui, 23; Palmerston North, 5; Wellington, 60 (Wellington City 51); Wairarupa, 1; Nelson, 3; Pieton, 3. For the previous week the totals were 174 cases —172 mild and 2 pneumonic. - -\ No further cases have been reported .from Wellington College or Scots College; but twelve mild cases were notified from Croydon School, Day's Bay. INFECTIOUS DISEASES. The following were the notification. 1 for all infectious diseases for the wee! ending April 12th: Scarlet fever, 10..—Palmerston Nortl 6, Wellington 2, Wairarapa 2. 'Diphtheria. 26. —Waipawa 1, Ha, wera 4, Wanganui 4, Palmerston North 3, Wellington 3, Wairarapa 2, Nelson 0. Knteric fever, 1 (Palmerston North) Influenza, 135 (detailed ahore). Pneumonia. 4.—Wanganui 1, Palmerston North 1, Wellington 1, Patea 1. - Measles. 1 (Wellington). Erysipelas, 1 (Wanganui).
