HARBOUR FERRY
MISHAP TO THE DUCHESS. The ferry steamer Duchess had to bo withdrawn from the ferry service on Saturday morning, owing to one of tho patches on the for'nrd end of tho boiler having developed a very serious "blow.' 1 At tho present time it is not possible to ascertain the extent of the repairs necessary, but advantage will bo taken now tho Dlichens is laid up to carry out tho annual overhaul. A special time-table in connection with the, forry service is detailed in today's issue.
