IMPORTED TALENT
WANGANUI MUSICIANS DISSATISFIED. A good deal of .adverse criticism is beiiiK levelled by Wanganui musicians (says a Press Association te'egram) at the Borough Council for obtaining outside talent in connection with the civic concert to ho given to the Prince of Wales. They contend that .'in Wanglauui and the district there reside persons who axe *'e'J qualified to take part in thy entertain, ment, and that there was no necessity , for tho Mayor or tho council to go to tho expense of importing performers from outside the district. Vocalist* and instrumentalists have been engaged in Auckland and Christchurch at an. expense of over £SO.
