POLICE COURT NEWS

A SERIOUS CHARGE. YOUNG MAN SENT TO GAOL. A sentence of six months’ imprisonment, with hard labour, was imposed on a young man, Gordon Holmes Barrett, by Captain A. Hennah, J.P., and Mr K. D. Hanlon, J.P., at the Police Court yesterday for having wilfully exposed himself within view of Tinakori road. Chief-Detective A. Ward said the accused had previously teen on similar charges. MISCELLANEOUS GASES. For loitering in a public street for immoral purposes, Minnie O'Connor was sent to gaol for one month. Myra Donaldson was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for being a rogue and a vagabond. A fine of 10a was imposed on Alfred Ernest Ward for inebriacy.
