OVER-INFLATION OP LAND VALUES. DISTINGUISHKd" SCIENTISTS' VIEW. "I am absolutely delighted with N«w Zealand, both in regard to its people and its climate,” stated Dr B. J. Tillyard, D.Sc., AI.A., the newly* appointed biologist to the Cawtnron Institute, to a “Times” representative yesterday. “I hare met with the greatsst kindness here and had a most enjoyable visit. As to the general outlook for your Dominion, I have only been able todicover one fault, if I may say so, and that is that there is danger of too much inflation of land values, especially with regard to farm lands: and this may cause some financial depression and trouble later on. ifut, apart from that, the outlook for Now Zealand is distinctly promising and encouraging, and I am looking forward very much to becoming a citizen of New Zealand. You really have a wonderful country here, and the kindness and hospitality showered upon me everywhere has been beyond my most sanguine expectations, especially the wonderful appreciation of my lectures. In Christchurch tho place was crowded out, and the people could not get in; and at Nelson I had an audience 1 had an audienCe of 350.
