MASTER PRINTERS
, ANNUAL MEETING. /The thirteenth annual meeting of tne New Zealand Master .Printers’ Association was held ,in the Chamber of Commerce hall Yesterday. A . very large number of delegates from all parts of th© Dominion was present. The chair was taken by the president, Mr J. Gamble (Christchurch).
The chairman welcomed members to the meeting. He referred bo many matters of interest to the trade, laying stress upon the need for unity in view of the difficult and disturbed times through which the printing business was passing.
The keenest interest was manifested in the proceedings by delegates, and a great deal of important business was transacted. The meeting passed a vote of congratulation to Sir Georg© Fenwick upon the honour of knighthood conferred upon him during the year. Votes of sympathy were passed to th© vice-president, Mr J. Cooke (Dunedin) and to the secretary, Mr Hicks, who are prevented from being present by illness; also to Mr E. T. Cliff (Dunedin), who had suffered bereavement during tho year. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. Gamble (Christchurch); vice-presi-dent, Mr J. Cooke (Dunedin); council, Messrs N. Mcßobir. and A. Spencer (Auckland), L. T. Watkins and T. Jones (Wellington), A. J. • Benzie (Christchurch), S. Craig (Invercargill).
