GLUB BATCHES SATURDAY'S RF.SULTS AT TRENTHAM. The Karori, Petone, Suburbs, and Old Nnvals Riilo Clubs commenced their shooting matches at the Trentham riilo rango on Saturday afternoon. A gustv southerly wind blew across tho butts, . necessitating careful use of 'tho gauges, but nevertheless several good individual scores were mit up. The results as a whole, however, were but averageDetails of the afternoon's shooting, as supplied by the club secretaries, aro as follow : KARORI CLUB. The members of tho Karori Rifle Club fired the fourth match of the first series at ranges 500 and COO yards. Weather conditions were most unfavourable for shooting, the light beiner dull, and a cold southerly wind prevailing, with sudden variations; the scores,. consequently, wore not of tho best. The following aro the highest scores:—

SUBURBS CLUB. The Suburb* Club continued its shooting at ranges 500 and 600 yards. The best sooro for the day was made by A. Harris, who notched 46 at 600 yards. Tho- club has adopted the pairs system for the coaching of junior shots, where a senior tukes a junto The result was a win for A. Harris and Neal 169 points, Fellingham and Newton 158, Bellamore and Longman 156, and Smart and Krown 156. Tho best score for the juniors was made by I-. Lewis. Dwtails are: A Class.

PETONIi CI.UI). The members of the Petone Clubj, held their weekly shoot on Saturday. Trentham was in one of its worst moods for the whole afternoon, causing a very large alteration for wind allowance, but notwithstanding this Rifleman E. Ballingei made the good total of 93 points. The late meeting at Bialey ho« no doubt considerably improved his shooting. D. Guiney, who recently returned to thn Dominion, made his first appearance, and was runner up off tho rifle, with 82.
