IN Pursuance of the Legislature Act, 190 S, and its intendments, •I, SAMUEL ERNEST McCARTHY, Eoturniii;j Officer for the Southern Mnori iilectoral District, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the. 28th day of November, 1919, under the hand of the Clerk of the Write, an Election will bo held for the Toturn of a qualified person to servo as Member for the said district; and that the ;latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will bo Noon .on the Bth day of December, 1919, and that the Poll, if necessary, will, bo taken at the several polling places of the said district, on the 16t]i day of December, 1919. Every man desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two clector.3 of the district, by a nomination paper as proscribed by section 60 of tho Legislature Amendment Act, 1910. delivered to the Returning Officer at the Magistrate's Court, Christchurch, bv or before Noon on the Sin day of December, 1919.
