NOTICE TO CONSUMERS. /CONSEQUENT upon the failure to arrive at a settlement of the demands of the Gasworks Employees for increased wages, the Directors of the Company desire to intimate to Con. sumers that it may be found impossible to avoid seriously curtailing or even discontinuing altogether the Gas supply. Every effort -will bo made to maintain an uninterrupted manufacture, but in the event of any breakdown of the machinery -which, cannot bo quickly repaired a complete stoppage may result, of which little or no notice can bo Should the Gas supply fail, consumers are advised to give immediate attention to their appliances by turning off ull taps of pilot jets, pendants, brackets, cookers, bath heaters, and any other gas apparatus they may have in use. This docket must bo signed by some responsible employeo of the firm, and not more than two persons in any firm should sign tho dockets dn ordor that tho Board's officials can keep conversant with these signatures.
