FATAL FIRE

HOTEL DESTROYED BIG CONFLAGRATION NARROWLY AVERTED. (Special to the "Times.") OTAKI, November 9. The Manakau Hotol wns destroyed by firo at 4.30 this morning. A woman named Morgan, who recently arrived at tho hotel, was burned to death. Her body was recoveredby Constable Satherloy and takon to tho morgue. An inquost will be held to-morrow. Tho cause of the firo is. as yet a mvstery. Lights were noticed in the hotel at an early hour this morning. Buildings near to the hotel, the post office and the bank, had a narrow escape from the flames. Tho insurances are not available yet.
