SHIPMENTS FROM AUSTRALIA. The Prime Minister has been advised that the Commonwealth authorities are giving permission to ship a considerable quantity of second-grade dried fruits to New" Zealand. A few days ago it was announced through the press that an embargo had been placed upon tho exportation of these fruits from Australia, and merchants in New Zealand were considerably nonplussed at the decision, as it meant a serious shortage of supplies of necessary fruits urgently required for the Christmas season.
