BESEEVATIONISTS TERMED COWARDS. Australian and N.Z. Cab la Acj Gelation. WASHINGTON, November 6. Senator Reed, in discussing the reservations to the Treaty, said such were the last resort of cowards. A reservationist was a crack in the fence through which a hound dog always tries to escape. A mastiff fights, and does not crawl Or cringe. Some_ Senators, however, got their heads in the crack and were unable to fight or run away. Vice-President Marshall called Senator Reed to order for using insulting language. A MOTION DEFEATED. WASHINGTON, November 6. The Senate has rejected Senator La Foletto’s amendment, deleting the Labour agreement, by 47 votes to 34.
