Press Association. GISBORNE, November 6. The bush fires in Tapuwaerpa Valley and Waiapu have been extinguished by the rain. Several native farmers lost a number of sheep, one 400 and one 100, and others smaller numbers. ’ The missing half-caste has turned up. No settlers’ residences were lost. HAWERA, November 5. Very stormy weather has prevailed during the last few days, with heavy bail showers and high winds. The cold may cause a setback in the milk production. /
