ANNUAL MEETING OF POET NICHOLSON CLUB.
Tho annual meeting of tho Port Nicholson Yucnt CUP was held in a sued at Pi) boat harbour. Mr J. Duucau teoiuinonoi-e) presided and tncro wore nomo ifiirty members present. Tbo annual report and balance-snoet wore adopted. T'ho report showed that the firet-emss points races during me season resulted as follows;—Rena., two firsts, two seconds; Fiola, two firsts; Alisa, one ru-ot, one second; Wairore 11., one first; Kotiri 11., tliree seconds. In the second-class both tlic championship flag and points aggregate tropny were won b v Jordan and Scott’s Galatea. The races resulted: —Galatea, one first, two seconds; Eawene, ono first, two seconds; Venue, ono first, one second; Wairere, two firsts; Nanette, one first. Five races tor -third-class boats resulted;—Miru, three firsts; Muritai, two firsts. The second annual race for the Mills Memorial Cup was won by Air E. Bucholz'a Wairere. Two general handicap races for all throe classes we re won bv Air Petherick'a Eona and Air J. Eton’s Venus. The ocean race in February was won by Alessrs Hnmil Bros’ Ailsa, with Jordan and Scott’s Galatea 2nd. Tho veterans' raco was won easily by Captain J. Dawson. Tho ladies’ bracelet race was won by Airs E. AXillmtm in tfie Galatea. Two races for launches were won I>y Mr Eonayne’s Nellie and Mr Webb’s Alarie. The inter-club Cup was ably delcnded by Air L. McGregor’s Nan, skipped by Mr J, Breen. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £~b in tho Post Office Savings Bank, and A 5130 2s 6d in tbo Bank of New Zealand. The assets total .£375 3s 10fl and there are no liabilities.

A motion that the subscription be increased from 5s for men and Is for ladies to .£1 Is for men, 10s 6d for juniors, and 2s 6d for ladies was lost as also was an amendment fixing the subscription at 10s 6d, ss. and 2s 6d. It was ultimately decided to fix the subscription at 10s Sd for men and Is for ladies. A proposal to change the club flag was lost. A motion was carried that at every club fixture, excepting races, the club flag be flown by all yachts. This eliminates the rule that the flag must be flown in races. It was also resolved to alter the rules so ns to compel each yacht when racing to fly a distinguishing flag to be registered with the club. During the evening the club champion-
ship pennants were presented to Mr JCull, Kotiri. 11. (in first-class) and Scott and Jordan, Galatea (in second-class). It was decided to present JJ3.O from the general fund to tho clubhouse building fund.
