APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS
Approval has been given to the appointments. promotions and resignations of the following officers of the Territorial Force: APPOINTMENTS Captain T. J. L. Buxton, 11th Regiment (Taranaki Rifles) is appointed ship’s adjutant and quartermaster on a transport. Lieutenant JB. E. J. Martin, Unattached -List (b). is appointed ship’s adjutant and quartermaster on a transport, and is granted the temporary rank 6f captain whilst so employed. Tie undermentioned officers of the New Zealand Medical Corps are appointed members of a special district medical board with pav of lieutenant-colonel at Expeditionary Force rates whilst so employed : Major W. E. Redman, M.R.C.S., Eng. Captain (temporary major) B. J.. Dudley, M.R.C.S, Bug. Captain (temporary) E. H. L. Lindon, M. Captain F>. C. A. Loeper, L.R.0.5., Ire.. N.Z. Medical Corps. Lieutenant (temporary captain) D. A. Ewan, “D” Battery. N.Z. Field Artillery, relinquishes the appointment of embarkation officer, and the temporary rank 01 captain whilst so employed. PROMOTIONS AND RESIGNATIONS Oth (WELLINGTON EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES. Lieutenant Wt Q. Wood is struck oil the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and is absorbed into the regiment with his original rank and seniority therein, as second lieutenant Ist (CANTERBURY) REGIMENT. Second Lieutenant F. R. Bushell is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and is absorbed into the regiment with his original rank and seniority therein, as lieutenant. 3rd (AUCKLAND) REGIMENT. G. C. Codiin. to be second lieutenant (temporary). Bth (SOUTHLAND) REGIMENT. Reserve of Officers. Captain J. S. Murphy is struck off the N. Expeditionary Force and is absorbed with his original rank, as major. NEW ZEALAND RIFLE BBIGDAE. Second Lieutenant H. J. Murrell m struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionarly Force and is posted to the regiment, with his original rank and seniority, as second lieutenant. Second Lieutenant F. T. Kelly is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and is posted to the regiment with his original rank and seniority as second lieutenant. Lieutenant R- MoGlashan is struck off the strength of tao N.n. Expeu.,.oiui. . M.D., is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority, as captain. H. C. P. Bennett, M. 8., to be captain. L. S. Talbot, M. 8., to be captain (temporary). R. B. Watson, M. 8.. to be lieutenant. Captain (temporary) J. E. Riddell on ceasing to be employed at Trentham Camp relinquishes the temporary rank of captain. NEW ZEALAND DENTAL CORP 3. Captain G. K. I. Stocker is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority n» lieutenant. Lieutenant (temporary captain) M. K. Litchfield relinquishes the appointment of dental officer on a H.M.N.Z. Hospital Ship, and retains the temporary rank of captain until further notice. Honorary Captain W. E. Reynolds relinquishes the honorary rank'of captain Sergeant A. Binsted to be liuentenant (temporary). UNATTACHED LIST (B). Captain D. C. Armstrong, M.C., is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority as secondlieutenant. The undermentioned second-lieutenants to be lieutenants:—O. H. Alexander Senior, M.C., F. A. Taylor, W. Expeditionary Force and is posted to the Retired List with the rank of captain. Second-Lieutenant R. E. B. Hopkirk is struck off the strength of the N.Z.
