EAST COAST TRAGEDY

A FATAL QUARREL. Freif Afi«orJatfon. GISBORNE, July 24Tho police have been advised that Olaf Anderson and Harry Bradley, whose dead bodies were found at Wairongomai station, about ten miles from Tup area, were engaged with others on a fencing contract hack of the station. Two men oamo in from camp to tho station on Sunday for provisions, and returning on Monday morning to the camp discovered both men dead. Bradley was found in a ditch close to the hut, and Anderson in'the hut dead with a rifle alongside him. There was no rifle beside Bradley. Member? of tho party state that Bradley and Anderson quarrelled on Saturday. TWO WOUNDS IN EACH BODY. Later. Constable Cooper, who investigated the tragedy, reports from the Wairongomai station that one victim, Anderson, has two bullet wounds in bis back and one in the back of bis head. A rifle was lying close alongside him. The other victim. Bradley, was lying about five feet away with two bullet wounds, one under the heart and tin other through the forehead. Inspector Johnston and Detective McLeod leave Gisborne for the scene of the tragedy to-morrow. No further details are available.
