WELLINGTON RUGBY UNION. A meeting of tiie Wellington Rugby Union was held last night, Mr P. P. Weir presiding. Mr John Hamilton, captain of the Petone fifth class team, appeared to explain why a Hutt player was played in the match against St. Johns. It was decided that Petone lose the game and Hamilton be cautioned. It was decided to inform the Bcrhamnore Club tliat their request for the removal of the suspension placed, on their captain, J. Pope, bo refused. Brother Egbert wrote asking for two ten shilling honorary members’ tickets in the scheme adopted by the union to raise funds to retain the Athletic Park for Rugby football. The Poneke Club stated that the sum of .£53 2s had been subscribed in connection with the memorial to the late Pavev Gage, and forwarded documents showing how the money received had been expended. The senior selection committee for the season is as follows Messrs W. Ponovan. H. Buck and W. E. Hornig.
