To the Editor “N.Z. Times. J Sir,—Regarding the New Zealand National Service League suggestions to celebrate Anzac Day. Our New Zealand boys did their best to help our Empire on April 25th, 1915. so suppose we try to do the same every year to celebrate Anzao Day in the homes as under; (1) That everyone eats, wears and uses only British-made goods on- that day. (2) That shopkeepers help by dressing their windows with, only British-made goods, giving the goods of Now Zealand the most x>rominent place. (3) That the children be encouraged, to turn out in fancy costume representing the Anzac family and wait on their local shopkeepers to see if they stock the goods made in, their country. The Anzac Family consists of the Motherland, Australia, New Zealand. India, Africa, Cani(4) In the ovenine let tho children have a good bonfire and burn the eiligy of our Empire's enemies who have not played the game. Fancr dress dances could also bo arranged, all British characters and everything British to be used; the Anzac boys and the Anzao family invited. . _ . t> Several schools in the Poverty Bas districts are erecting for u« a signpost on Anzac Day with the words:— Help the Empire. Buy British goods. Please help disabled soldiers in civil life." We should like others tofollow that example.
