HOROWHENUA NOTES

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr W. Knox, of Otaki, has a freak of Nature in the form of a duckling, which was hatched with ten wings, four legs, and two heads. It only lived for a little time. Miss Bannister, of Ngaio, is at present spending her holidays in Otaki. Miss Bannister was for some twenty years a teacher at the head State school. Hospital reports from London show that Lance-Corporal H. E. Lodge, Privates C. Dorset, and E. Granfiold are making good progress.
