ANOTHER BEING SENT TO NEW ZEALAND. General Sir J. G.* Maxwell has written from the Armyi . Headquarters, Cairo, to the Hon. Jamas Allen (Minister for Defence) as follows:—"In reply to your letter of June 29th, I have the honour to inform you that two of the captured pontoons (from the Suez, Canal) have been sent to New Zealand, one to the Nelson City Council, and another has now been sent, addressed to the Prime Minister, which I trust will arrive safely and in due course."
