AUSTRALIAN MAIL CONTRACTS
RAILWAY AGREEMENT TO BB ENDED.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright MELBOURNE, October 9. Mr W. G. Spence, Conuneomvcalth Postmaster-General, has given the .Railway Departments of all the States twelve months’ notice terminating the agreement for the carriage of mails, owing to tho excessive rates.
Henry Hughes, Ud., patent agents, 157, Featherston street, report the recent filing of the following applications tor patents:—A. Itcicl, Palmerston North, device Wr blueing and soaping water; M. H. .Biggins. Clifton Hill. Victoria, beer pomp, etc.* .draw oli pipe; A. Bussell and W. Charley, Melbourne, Victoria, vehicle wheel hub; Monotype Machine (colonial patents), "Loudon, England, printers' leads, etc., manufacture; J. G. Eobertson, Manchester, England, steam superheater: Booth, Macdonald and Co.. Ltd., Christchurch, flax stripper drum.
