GRESHAM HOTEL
LAMBTON QUAY
During the past ton weeks there has been cousiueraoie stir and bustle at the above hotel. Quite a small army of woramen —painters, paperuangers, upholsterers. etc. —nave been at work, and a complete transformation effected. Tins Uostelry possesses over seventy bedrooms, also commercial rooms, smoking rooms and sitting rooms. Situated in the centre of Lambton quay, the shopping business portion of the city, within hail a minute walk of the Post Office, and close to the railway station, wharves and ferry steamers. Town Ball and theatres, with trams passing the doors to all parts of the city and suburbs, is certainly entitled to rank amongst the first-class hotels of the Dominion. The spacious bars have also, passed' through the decorators’ hands, being entirely refitted, and a large oval bar installed. The highest quality only of liquors is stocked, and patrons can roly upon enjoying their refreshments under the very best conditions. The proprietor, Mr P. J. ("Paddy”) Griffin, is well and favourably known throughout New Zealand, and also to Australasian travellers and tourists. *
