July 14th, 1915. JOHN •!>. LUKE, Mayor. PUBLIC WELCOME TO WOUNDED SOLDIERS. RETURNING BY ,S.S. WILLOCHRA. THE S.S. WILLOCHRA will bortii at the Glasgow Wharf. The men will disembark at 2 o'clock p.m., and will proceed by motor cars (kindly provided by the Wellington Automobile Club and other private citizens) to the Town Hall (main entrance), by way of Lambton quay, Willis street, Manners street and Lower Cuba street. The Public will be admitted to th.. Town Hall Galleries by the Wakefield street entrance ONLY. Citizens are requested to display as much bunting as possible. Private’ citi zens willing to loan their - "motor-cars (four-seaters and over) will kindly proceed to the Glasgow wharf at 1.30 p.m., and take up such, positions as will be assigned to them by Inspector Doyle and lls assistants. The Public are requested to refrain from approaching the main entrance to the Town Hall, which will be kept clear for the admission of Wounded Soldiers and their relatives, and those taking part in the ceremony. Relatives of . the returning soldiers do siring fo accompany them in the Town Hall must obtain a ticket of admission from the Town Clerk's office. IyTEMBERS of the Club and all other owners of four-seater or larger motor-cars, willing to drive the,returning Wounded Soldiers, arriving by the Willochra, to the Town Hall and hack to the ship, are invited to be at the Glasgow Wharf by 1.30 TO-DAY, with their cars, and to take up positions which will be allotted by Inspector Doyle. It is expected that two hundred and fifty Soldiers will be well enough to attend the reception, and about eighty Motor-cars will be required.
