NEW ZEALAND RAGING CONFERENCE
It has been decided that the postponement of the Wellington Racing Club’s • meeting will not interfere with the Racing Conference. The dates committee. Messrs E. W. Alison, W. E. Bidwill, H. ‘ Friedlander, E. Goodbehere, G. Hunter, M.P., and P. Miller, meet on Wednesday. The conference of representatives of New Zealand Jockey Clubs will be held at Messrs Watkins, Hull, and Wheeler’s Building, Johnston street, on Thursday at 10.30 a.m. Sir George Clifford (president) will preside. The following delegates have been appointed;—Auckland Racing Club, Hon. E. imtchelson and Mr H. T. Gome; Auckland District Clubs, Mr E. W. Alison and Hon. W. H. The statement of receipts and expenditure from June 37th, 1914, .to June 26th, 1915,- to be presented, shows: —
Receipts..— To balance in bank, June 37th, 1914, £l4l 2s 7d; registration of colours, £416 12s 6d; registration of partnerships, £45 ss: registration of assumed names, £132 6s ; levy on clubs, £202; deposits on appeal, £120; N.Z. Stud Books, £245 10s; fines, £l3; interest, £33 16s 8d; unpaid forfeit list, £7; suspense account, £2 13s. Total. £1359 5s 9d.
Expenditure.—By deposits on appeal refunded, £120; N.Z. Stud Book, vbl. VI. ‘ printing, binding, and compiler’s fee, £4Bl 11s; general expenses —salaries, printing, and stationery, travelling ' expenses, • postages, etc., £589•„13s lOd; stipendiary stewards’ account (£3551, less levy of 1-10 per cent, on gross totalisator investments, 1913-14 year, £3392 16s lOd), £l5B 3s 2d; balance in bank, June 26th, 1914, less unrepresented cheques, £9 17s 9d. Total, £1359 5s 9d. ACCIDENT FUND, FROM JUNE 27th" 1914, TO JUNE 28th, 1915.
Receipts.—To fixed deposits and debentures, £10,100; mortgages, £4000; bank balance, June' 27th, ,1914, £1641 19s 4d; accident fees, £2227 license fees, £437; jockeys’, license fees, £364; emergency riders’ fees, £95 15s; fines, £32; interest,- £663 8s; suspense account, £1 15s. Total, £19,563 17s 4d. Expenditure.- By claims paid, £1586 16s; claims not settled (estimated at £250); accident fees refunded, £2B; general expenses, salaries, etc., £425 17s 3d; Christchurch City Council debentures, mortgages, fixed denosits, deposits at call, £17,100; balance in bank, £422 - 4s' Id. Total, £19,562 17s 4d.
