COMMISSION MEETS TO-DAY
TO DISCUSS PROCEDURE. The Royal Commission which is to investigate the conditions existing in connection with Trentham camp will hold its first meeting to-day. The members will discuss points of procedure and arrange a programme of work.
It is understood that the evidence of the military and medical experts will be taken first. The Commissioners will make a personal inspection of the camp.
• A number of men who have beei. on sick leave to their homes, having returned to Wellington and reported themselves for duty, accommodation is being provided for them in the Buckle street drill hall and Mount Cook Barracks, until they are able to join their units in camp. The Artillery, Army Service Corps, and 6th Infantry Reinforcements are still at Trentham, and they are.to join the camp at Tauherenikau at an eanj date. They are quite comfortable Trentham, and are not anxious to take their departure thence.
