TRENTHAM CAMP REGULATIONS

The fallowing regulations governing the movements of men in and out of camp at Trentham during the present period of quarantine have been issued by the Chief of General 'Staff (Colonel C. M. Gibbon): — Men 'detained in camp by the medical officers, but who are not ill enough to go to hospital, are to remain in camp with details. They will' be examined daily at ' the secretary’s office, race course hospital,, by Captain Harrison at 9 a.m., and, when passed as fit, they will be forwarded by . Headquarters to their respective units.: All men wishing to report sick are also instructed to attend the sick par. ade at the secretary's office, racecourse hospital; at 9 a.m;., for examination. * <

Men returning from sick leave are to report at the racecourse hospital at 10 a.m. on the day of their return for , examination by Captain Harrison. If passed as fit they will then he handed their kit, and-are to report at Headquarters to he forwarded to their respective units. If returning from leave during the afternoon, except, in a. case where a man is ill, they will join in with details to report to Captain,Harrison at the racecourse hospital on the following morning for examination. Those men returning from extended leave who are in possession of their kits will report to Lieutenant Bishop railway transport officer, Lambton station, who will furnish them with necessary warrants to enable them to proceed direct to their respective units. If their kits, have been left in Trentham Camp, they are to report at camp by 10 a.m. and attend at the secretary's office, racecourse hospital, to he ex amind by Captain Harrison. If. passed as fit, they are, also to report at Headquarters to be forwarded to their respective units.. Persons requiring a pass into the hospital grounds shall obtain a pass from Headquarters, which will takfl them through the guaru at the hospital gate. An orderly will then take that pass to the medical officer, who will, if circumstances warrant sUch permission, issue the necessary pass into the ground. No person will be alibied in or out of camp until the circumstances of their, case have .been inquired into by Headquarters. Persons requiring to come into camp will mention their business to the sergeant of the guard, who will communicate with Headquarters by telephone. Relatives of men in the racecourse hospital will not be allowed on any account 'to see the men, except in case of serious illness, If sUoh is the case, the sergeant will represent the urgency of their; business to Headquarters, and will obtain the necessary medical pass into the hospital ground for these people. All men will proceed to join their respective units in a special carriage to be arranged for by Headquarters. All requisitions from hospital are to he signed by either Lieutenant-Colonel Morice or Captain Harrison. ■
