The honorary secretary of the New Zealand Ladies’ Gold Union advisee that, owing to the war, it has been decided to abandon ■ the annual championship meeting, which- was to have been held in Auckland in -SeptemberAUCKLAND, July 9. The Auckland Lawn Tennis Association to-night decided to agree to the (suggested \ abandonment of this year’s New Zealand championship tournament.
