NEW YORK, July /. , A Berlin message reports a great British aerial raid upon a German port, supposedly Willmlmshaveii. No details have been received rom London. While the Gorman statement reassures the German people That the attack was unsuccessful, and while there are no reports of heavy damage having been done, it is realised that the amount of information gathered by the reconnoitring over Heligoland and the Kiel Canal will ho most valuable to the assort that the raid is the most significant aerial success of the war; the party accomplished their purpose, and got away apparently without loss. , , ii It is quite probable they dropped bombs and did considerable damage, which tho Gormans will not admit. .. , „ . , German airships sighted tho advancing British naval forces off Tersche,ling at dawn. They comprised several hydro-aeroplanes, accompanied by cruisers and destroyers.
