CONDEMNED BY FRENCH AUTHORITIES. By Telecraph—Press Association—Copyrieht LONDON, July 6. About the middle of February last the German steamer Dacia, which, it is said, was transferred to the American registry, left America for Rotterdam. The British Government had protested against the transfer, and it was generally believed the vessel would be seized by the British authorities ■it she - < left port, as was intended, with a,cargo of foodstuffs for Germany. The cup* tain of the Dacia stated the- owner of - the vessel had promised him a big bonus if the vessel returned safely. The Dacia did not fall into the hands of the English, but was captured by a French warship and taken to Brest. Her cargo has now been condemned at contraband.
