The defendant alleged that the arrangement was that she should supply the materials, and she should get a reduction of £2 from the contract price of £l4 10s. She counter-claimed for the sum of £1 15s, being the value of a second-hand range returned. After several witnesses had been heard, judgment was given for plaintiff for the full amount claimed and witnesses’ expenses; judgment was given on the counter-claim for defendant for 10s. Mr R. Kennedy appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Petherick for defendant. Mrs Henrietta Dormant was largely responsible for the arrest of two burglars sentenced at London Sessions recently.
