When Edward Bloomfield got drunk on Monday he' endeavoured strenuously to resist arrest by Con« table Burnett. For his insobriety he was fined 10s or forty-eight hours’ detention, and the resistance coat him £3, or fourteen days’ imprisonment. CIVIL CASES. Mr W. G. On judgment summonses Walter Launder was ordered to pay the Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the sum of £ll Os 8d by October 20th, in default ten days’ imprisonment; M. J. Hosier to pay Hasson, Ltd., the sum of £3 9s 5d by October 20th, iu default three days in gaol.
