In his presidential address at the first annual meeting of the Wellington Central Chamber of Commerce' last night, Mr C. M. Luke quoted some figures showing the great-pro-gress made by the Wellington Har- , hour Board. In 1862 there was one wharf, without a shed, in 1913 there r were 30 stores, with a gross storage capacity of 6,667,305 cubic feet. The board now has assets amounting . to.. £1,386,873 and liabilities' amounting to £851,570, am excess of assets orer liabilities of £535,303. :
